Drug & Substance Abuse Programme is meant to provide guidelines in conducting community outreach, education and awareness which includes Providing peer and lay counselling on the prevention, identification and treatment of drug-related problems, Creating community and youth services to counter the effects of drug-related problems. Creating family and community networks/support groups to provide support to individuals and families with drug-related problems Providing early intervention to enable those at risk to stay in their family or community.
Providing opportunities for and promoting a healthy lifestyle with the main focus on the prevention of drug and substance abuse Engaging young people in sport, art and recreational activities and ensuring the productive and constructive use of leisure time Conducting peer education programmes for youths with the main focus on the prevention of drug and substance abuse Enabling teachers, parents and families to recognise the early warning signs with regard to substance use and equipping them with information on appropriate responses and available services
Unchained Youth provides free of Charge rehab programme where patients that are struggling to quit are taken through the process that culminates in them being admitted at rehab for 3-4 weeks. Prior to admission at the Rehab, our clients clients undergo a screening process to ensure their preparedness. Not only clients are involved in this process, but their guardians, beloved ones may be requested to supply certain information that could help our Social Workers profiling the client.
